3. Move your router to a better location

5. Change your Wi-Fi frequency band
Modern routers work using two frequencies: 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz. The frequency band you choose to use for the connection you are using can affect speeds and what you can expect from your internet connection when you are at various distances to your router.
The frequency band you’re currently on might be experiencing temporary interference, so consider switching to another band. The network will appear as a different Wi-Fi connection in your gadget, typically with a tag in the network’s name, which identifies the network as 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz.
It is believed that the 2.4 GHz band is the most frequently used Wi-Fi connection.
